Today, consumers have more choice than ever when it comes to selecting refrigeration equipment for their businesses.

However, for energy and environment conscious operators who are serious about food safety and understand that refrigeration is a core investment of their business, there is only one choice.

The True brand is trusted worldwide by established and emerging operators who need refrigeration they can rely on, which can keep up with the demands of a busy kitchen, day after day, year after year.

Our dedication to temperature, product durability, environmental responsibility and long-term after-sales warranty program is a winning combination which continues to resonate across the global foodservice and hospitality landscape.

Below are highlights of some recent recognition for True products:

ENSE: Supplier Newcomer of the Year.

In the UK, True was recently recognized as the ‘Supplier Newcomer of the Year’ by Catering Equipment Buying Consortium, ENSE.

True joined the group in 2019 as a refrigeration category partner, making available our wide range of leading cold storage equipment to ENSE’s distributor network.

The Group’s market strategy is to streamline the process for their distributor members by partnering with leading suppliers who offer quality equipment backed by the best warranties and aftersales services.

The supplier award was voted on by ENSE distributors who recognized True as best in the category.

KÜCHE: Best Product Award.

In Germany, KÜCHE magazine’s BEST KITCHEN PRODUCT Awards have a long tradition as one of the most prestigious in the industry.

Spanning 22 categories across food and kitchen technology, and decided by an expert jury of experienced kitchen managers, results of the 2020 competition were recently published in issue 8-9 / 2020 of the magazine.

True’s 1/1 Gastronorm Counter product range was recognized with the Silver Award for 2020, owing to its leading energy efficiency credentials and customizable options to suit exact operator requirements.

Designed to set a new standard for functionality, performance and elegance in the professional kitchen, TCR Refrigerator and TCF Freezer counters are the most energy efficient counters currently available on the market.

Available in 2 or 3 sections, fully front-breathing, and with True’s state of the art temperature control technology, these 1/1 Gastronorm counters tick all boxes for the modern kitchen, built to industry standard dimensions, and are highly customizable with the operators’ choice of door/drawer combinations, and worktop or under counter options.

In total, there are over 550 different configurations available, allowing operators to tailor a refrigeration solution to their exact operational requirement, appreciative of the fact that kitchen space is becoming more and more compact.

The versatility of being able to configure your own version of the product makes it ideally suited to any operation or application. Certified to operate at Climate Class 5, it is robust enough to perform in the most demanding back of house kitchen, and attractive enough to be situated in any front of house or “open kitchen” showpiece.

True’s Counter Refrigerators are rated A+ for energy efficiency per EU Energy Labelling Regulations, making it the highest performing product currently on the market:

NRA: Kitchen Innovations Award.

Over the Atlantic in North America, True’s innovative Reversing Condenser Fan Motor was also recognized recently as a winner at the National Restaurant Association Show 2020’s Kitchen Innovations Awards.

Honoring progressive equipment that increases efficiencies and productivity in the kitchen, and judged by a panel of respected industry experts, the KI Awards program is a feature of the NRA trade show that takes place annually in Chicago, Illinois.

Now a standard feature on products featuring True’s ‘Natural Refrigerant’ technology, our Reverse Condensing Unit Fan Motor (RCU) periodically reverses the rotation direction of the condensing fan, helping to remove excess debris from the interior and surface of the condensing coil.

A clean condensing coil is essential to the efficient operation of any commercial refrigerator and is a critical part of any kitchen maintenance plan.

Dirty condenser coils can cause a refrigerator to use up to twice as much energy as clean ones, as the compressor runs longer and more intensely, struggling to draw in enough external air to perform the thermodynamic refrigeration process cycle.

True’s RCU helps to reduce the build-up of blockages between maintenance periods, optimizing the unit’s performance, supporting colder holding temperatures and increased energy efficiency.

Our Reverse Condensing Unit Fan Motor is just one example of the patented technology which can only be found on True brand refrigerators:

Celebrating 75 years of refrigeration innovation.

This latest spate of recognition for True products comes as we celebrate 75 years of commercial refrigeration innovation.

During this time, we have always strived to lead at the forefront of cooling technology development, most recently with a focus on improved sustainability and responsibility for the environmental impact of our products and manufacturing processes.

Today, we judge our achievements by the global presence of our products and the leading operators who rely on them as a part of their success.

Designed to perform. Built to last.

Commercial kitchens are stressful enough, without also having to worry about the longevity and reliability of your vital refrigeration systems. This makes it essential to choose cooling solutions that are built to stand the test of time—and not simply be replaced in the short to medium term.
